Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace
Experience the magic of monsoon in the royal city of Udaipur with our exclusive trek to Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Aravalli Mountains, this palace offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and sunsets.
You can take you car upto the Sajjangarh palace, however, in this trek we are going to take the lesser explored path that goes from badi lake. Google map link
Itinerary:
Day 1 (19 August)
6:30 AM: Meet up At Asarwa Jn in Ahmedabad to catch the train number #19704 (Asarva (Ahmedabad) - Udaipur City Intercity Express). We reccomend booking the AC chair car coaches so that you will meet your fellow trekkers.
12:30 PM: Arrive in Udaipur city. Go for some lunch. Check into Hosteller Udaipur.
3:00 PM: Briefing, introductions, and some light stretching before we start the journey.
4:00 PM: We start from Badi ki Pal for the monsoon palace forest base trail and explore the lush green surroundings and feeling the monsoon magic around the little explored badi lake.
6:00 PM: Watch the sunset and enjoy the mesmerizing view of the sun setting down the hills.
7:00 PM: We go for dinner on a rooftop cafe (suggestions welcome!) near hosteller udaipur and relax for the night.
Day 2 (20 August)
8:00 AM: Head over to Sajjangarh Palace entrance gates and start the journey from the main paved road going into the Sajjangarh wildlife sanctuary via the famous viewpoint.
9:30 AM: Continue our trek to the top, taking in the splendid views of Udaipur city, its lakes, and the endless horizon.
10:30 AM: Reach the Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace. Tour the palace and its rich history.
1:00 PM: Break for a packed lunch amidst the serene beauty of the Aravallis.
2:00 PM: Take a taxi back to Udaipur down (skipping the downhill walk).
5 PM: Take the train back to Ahmedabad (19703 - UDZ ASV EXPRESS). We reccomend booking the chair car seats.
11:00 AM: Arrive in Ahmedabad.

This is a free event meaning that AhmedabadMingle will not charge anything from the participants.
Everyone is responsible for doing their own train and hotel bookings and meeting the co-ordinator at designated time/place as mentioned in the itinerary and via email.

Book the train tickets to and from Ahmedabad yourself (~INR 500 one way for chair car tickets).

You will have to book the overnight stay at Hosteller Udaipur (~INR 500-1000 per night depending on whether you get shared dorms or private rooms).

All entrance fees to the monsoon palace will have to be paid at the ticket counter (INR 130).

Taxi expenses and parking fees will be split among all participants. You can also directly meet us at the base (just message the group leader beforehand) if you want to walk from Hosteller, Udaipur.
